Kids Feet Clinic

Abnormal foot biomechanics is a major contributing factor in the development of pain and injury in children’s feet, ankles, knees and legs. Foot and leg biomechanics incorporates a comprehensive evaluation of the structure, alignment and function of the feet and legs while standing and during walking.

Posture Screening in Children

Posture Screening in Children

A hallmark of adolescence is a period of rapid physical growth. During this time, various biomechanical problems may arise: flat feet, knee disorders such as bow/knock knee and Osgood-Schlatter disease, hip disorders such as Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis and Legg–Calvé–Perthes disease, and scoliosis, just to name a few.

Centerpoint Clinic is offering a complimentary consultation, which is comprised of a thorough posture analysis using both computerized scanning equipment and a biomechanical exam.

Should a potential problem be identified, an additional examination may be required, and a custom treatment plan can be created, and the diagnosis will be communicated to the family doctor. Medical imaging (i.e. X-ray, MRI, etc) will be ordered when necessary.
